im not crazy about the OEM 275-55-20 Wranglers. Looking for a little more aggressive and same size.

Ive been looking at Hankook Dynapro ATM.. But hesitate because my wife’s Expy (2016 EB) will fishtail if you stomp it at 30 mph on wet road.....OEM...they have 34k mi on them. I’d expect her to get about 50k mi out of them. Otherwise no complaints really

Cooper just doesn’t tickle my fancy for some reason. White letter or black wall either one.... judging by looks only though. I know it’s a good tire.

Wildpeak AT3W on tire rack has “peaked” my interest the most as mildly aggressive on tire rack as “new”. With new tread design also.....for us old farts who still tolerate or kinda like, ROWL tires. I see they have two sizes in new tread, white letter. 275-55-20 and an.....?.18 inch version also...?
If you like RWL, check out the new Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus also (not the Scorpion ATR). I put on a set in 275/60 about 1000 miles ago and have no complaints so far, and only cost me about $675 after Pirelli and DT rebates.

I'm close to 100% on pavement and I like quiet! I've been using michelins for about 10 years now. They wear well, are very quiet, and I've never had to rebalance one yet.

I bought a set of the new to market BF Goodrich Advantage TA Sport LT tires for mine. They are the 20' size tires. They do have impressive snow traction for an all season, and are quiet. They are supposed to last 60K, will see, I have about 20K on them now and they look good. As will all tires on a pickup, when on a damp road from a stop, they will spin if you give too much gas, and I have had the rear break loose on a left turn onto a highway, but that intersection is slick to begin with.

Depending on wear, I may get them again. The prior tires were bridgestones that came on my 14 RWD. They lasted 60K, but were slick in wet weather and I put snows on in winter so never drove in snow with them. They rode nice, were quiet and got good MPG, and lasted a long time, could have easily got another 15-20K out of them before replacing them, but the wet traction was a no go for me.

Do you know if they're quieter than the Hankook Dynapro ATMs my truck came with?

Me too, and mostly highway. Which specific Michelin model do you have now? And same question as above: Do you know if they're quieter than the stock Hankooks listed above? But more importantly, are they 'LT' or not? I ask because they're supposedly much heavier than a non-LT tire, and I absolutely don't want a tire heavier than the Hankooks at all, since my mileage would be even worse. And don't need a beefier tire at all, since I won't use my truck off-road. Thx.

Finally, being new to trucks, could somebody explain what are all the different categories in detail? For starters, I don't know what MT and HT mean; just AT (all-terrain). Furthermore, need a better understanding of an 'LT' tire. Just remember reading they're way heavier than non-LT tires, because of much higher load ranges (that I don't need), and much higher air pressures. I want something lighter and quieter than the Dynapros, if there's such a thing . Thx.

I've had kinda bad luck with tires so far on my 2015 Lariat.
I put a rock thru one and a nail thru another. The last two were bald at 30K.
That said;
I have the OEM Wranglers. I'd like to pan them, but I can't. They're fine in the rain, even doin 80+; never hydroplaned ever; never fishtailed ever. They're fine in the snow with 4A on. They don't make noise or vibration. They cost $185 at the dealer.

I don't know why they wore so quickly. I suspect my beloved ICON coils did it. I'm still working on that issue.
...............
How many miles you guys getting from tires? Mavis told me 30-40 was "about right".
..............
How are you guys buying 4 tires, mounted, balanced, recyc fee and tax for like $600? I just paid $500 for two tires and alignment. I'd like to shop there.
