Default Is this a good deal?

Zip Code:36625 (Alabama)
Model: 2017, S-Crew 4x4 XL-STX, 2.7L
MSRP:$44,770
Dealer discount:-$5,322
Sale Price:$39,448
Rebate:-$5,050
Doc Fee:$300
Final Price:$34,698

I qualify for all rebates.

The truck was a demo truck for an employee, so it has 5k miles, but is being sold as new.

With it being a demo I would shoot for 2000 under invoice, whatever that is. If you want to know a dealers best price wait till the last day of the month.

A brand new 302a xlt can be had in the mid 30's a fully loaded 302a roof v8 step tank tow pack.... $38.5k (50k msrp). I am not sure what a great discount on the XL is but XLT 12-13k is not hard to find. Generally speaking demo vehicles aren't a great deal because they try to get the customer to eat their loss. Same with really really old inventory example 2016 left on the lot. Sometimes it works out but be careful. Look for the truck you want on Cars.com use your trim and color reverse sort on cheapest. You should be able to find a decent price on both XL and XLT.

A 12% dealer discount would be a great, but far from unheard of, deal on a brand new truck. For a demo vehicle that's now a model year old prior to a facelift, they should be able to do much better.

No deal. Not enough dealer discount for a demo.

For an XL demo? No! I would offer $31,500 and see what they say.

Wow... Expensive for what it is. Plus, you'll lose some warranty since it's a demo.

I'd buy a brand new one. Get a XLT at least...
