Getting a Mustang GT....trade options?
#21
If the truck is paid off and you have 20k cash to play with, then get a 20k Mustang. If you plan on modding regardless, then get a 13 or so 5.0 and save up for parts to throw at it. Careful, you could go down a rabbit hole chasing HP.

Keep the truck and buy a mustang new or used, either way it would work out the same as other options. either way you have payments (assuming you not buying outright) then adding another payment or cash out of pocket on a low mileage SUV. From experience, you will need/want a truck with the mustang. They don't hold much as far as cargo goes.

Last week, after almost 30 years of driving nothing but Mustangs, I traded my last Mustang for my first F-150 without looking back.
Same coyote engine, more versatile and a lot more comfortable. No regrets.

that's why I got both. best of both worlds, 3.5 eco in the truck for towing and hauling and coyote in the mustang for power, speed and sound.

Or.... You could do like I did. Keep the F-150 and buy a Camaro.
