Default Generic MyFordTouch question...display after reversing

So I've googled this answer and haven't come up with anything remotely close.

I do not have MFT on my 15 XLT but my girlfriend just bought a 2016 Fusion with MFT.

I am going to ask this here just on the off chance this happens in the F150s as well, or maybe someone on here is familiar with the fusion.

After she puts the car in reverse, the back up camera comes up. Then she puts the vehicle in drive, the MFT display DEFAULTS to the PHONE screen, instead of the HOME screen where she was before she put it in reverse. Also, it won't let her press the home button, she has to touch any other button first, (usually the entertainment button) then it will let her click HOME.

It happens 100% of the time.

Normal? Glitch? Is there a way to set the default screen after reversing. It's not my car but it is kind of annoying.

When putting the vehicle into reverse the camera pops up. Once input it in drive and or park it goes back the whatever screen I had it on beforehand so my thought is that yours has a glitch. Go into the settings and do a reset to see if that fixes the issue. If not, also try and remove the negative terminal off the battery for a hour or so.

A couple of us have had this exact problem, myself included. I bet she has 911 Assist turned off on her phone? If so, have her turn it on. Mine was doing that every time as well, but once I changed that option, it hasn't done it in almost 4 months since. Definitely a glitch with that option.

Try the 911 Assist thing without a reset first. A reset did nothing for me but make me have to redo all my settings, but just turning that option on fixed the problem without a reset. Plus, this would help us further isolate the problem to the 911 Assist, IMO. Just a thought.

If you remove the negative battery cable, and touch it to the positive battery cable, you don't have to wait an hour or so.

Thank you pb65stang for this post. I have had my 2014 Lariat at the dealership about 8 times in the past year for this exact same problem. They kept blaming my phone even though I had the same problem with 4 different phones paired. Turn 911 assist on and I haven't seen the trouble since. Thanks again!

Yes, it seems they want you to have that feature on for safety purposes.
Also, check the SYNC site for updates. I updated my 2013 Stang and 2015 F-150 and they both work better after updates.
