Gaps on the bed, can see the ground
 

So when I was installing my bed rug, I noticed gaps on both side in front of the wheel well and before the bulkhead. They were big enough to see the ground from standing over them.

I didn't think it was a big enough deal to take it back to the dealership for.

But now my bed rug is getting moisture, I'm thinking of getting some kind of caulking to fill in the voids from bottom side as my rug is in and I don't want to take it out.

I think I'd take it back and make them repair it right.

My 2010 and 2012 F150 Screw's were both like that, I ended up putting a bead of seam sealer on all the "voids" before I did my spray in bedliner. I even caulked the front seam against the bulkhead.

To make it right, I world imagine mean tack welding it. Or putting some kind of caulk to fill the voids
Is there a special seam caulk? Where to get?

Aren't all 2015's like this? I know others have already posted about this and although mine has the factory spray-in liner you can still see gaps in several areas. On a positive note, when my tonneau cover leaks (more often than I want it too) at least the water just runs out of the bed :)

I'd like to see pictures but if it is where I think it is all the trucks are like this due to the rake in the truck water drains out of the bed at this location. I actually asked about it after my spray in bed liner was done you could see it easier. Nothing to be worried about unless you want to seal the bed from the outside world then you might want to caulk it. :thumbsup:

I think those are the drain holes

I have visible gaps of about 80% on one side and 20% of the length of the bed on the other side. I saw this clearly when I picked my truck up brand new. I was surprised as I hadn't read a thing before that about the issue.

But 100% of the other new F150s on the lot had visible gaps as well - though generally to a lesser degree. So I definitely call it normal. It is necessary for drainage I'm told. I don't know why Ford didn't find traditional truck bed drainage holes adequate, it would definitely look better.

Or have specific drain holes vs non consistant gaps

I have that on mine also with factory sprayed liner,was told by Ford that it was for drainage and was normal and they would not fix it,I said to them you would think it on both sides then and I would seam seal it myself.Then they told to that it might void warranty,I laughed and said what f---ing warranty
