It did in previous years. This year the lineup was condensed to 5 models (XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum).
The FX4 and Sport appearance are separate packages available through out the lineup.

I just purchased a 2015 f150 lariat sport fx4 and had the dealership swap the shocks to the non fx4 shocks from another sport they had on the lot in order to seal my deal. I could noticably tell when test driving that trucks with the fx4 package rode stiffer when comparing extra trucks only difference was the package. Hitting pot holes for instance felt like it was making the entire back end of the truck hop and skip. Cleaner shock in the picture is the non fx4 shock.

I like the FX4 interior, the ride is noticeably stiffer. It's not a bad ride at all, just not as smooth as a standard XLT. You will feel bumps and pavement imperfections in the FX4 the XLT suspension smooths out. The skid plates are adequate for the kind of off road driving I do which is getting to some sketchy places to fish and keep crap out of the under carriage. If you are looking at hard core off road you are going to have to go aftermarket. The skid plates are not designed for that level of use.

Now that I look at the pictures I posted I notice that these two rear shocks actually have the same part number.

When I check this parts site, it only shows different part #'s for the payload package when looking at front shocks.

I'm starting to wonder if the ride difference I noticed was all in my head. I've been noticing lately that even though I had them swap my shocks with a sport model without fx4 that it's still fairly stiff.

I'm going to check the front part numbers today and compare them to the truck they swapped mine with.

Edit - This site shows a different part # for the offroad package for front only, my guess is that they use different part numbers for the front shocks only with the fx4 package, and use the sport tuned shocks for the rear.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure I'm right when saying the shocks themselves (leaf springs) would logically be the difference between the two. The shock damper (what you took pictures of) only control the rebound of the shock (leaf spring)...and springs up front.

Leaf springs aren't shocks, but it is possible they are different between the two models.

That is not accurate. The spring provides rebound force while the damper controls compression and rebound dampening, or basically the whole "shock" part of being a shock. The spring does NOT dissipate energy like a "shock" as most people think of them is supposed to, that's all the damper.

The damper is the most important part, but it's entirely possible both the damper and the spring could be different.

I test drove the two packages and to me at least they were about the same, but I bought my 16 Lariat with the FX4 package and then I swapped out the rear shocks with the Rancho RS 9000 and then did the Rancho Quick lift and then put a set of BFG KO2 tires in 34x12.5x18 on ner, so I like the ride on mine.
