Default FX4 Suspension vs Regular Suspension

Does somebody know if the FX4 package suspension is much stiffer than the regular one on the 2015 F 150?

There are no F150 w/ FX4 package do test drive around where I live.

(Sorry for my english)

The suspension is pretty much the same. The FX4 rides a little rougher than the standard 4x4 does. The main thing is that the FX4 package gets rid of the chrome and adds skid plates. The "skid plates" aren't terribly impressive either so don't feel like your missing anything with a regular 4x4. I went for the FX4 because I hate chrome.

Is the comfort difference noticeable?

People keep forgetting the standard e-lock diff on the FX4.

I tested the 4x4 and the FX4 and there is a slight difference in compliance to the road behavior. The 4x4 is slightly softer and a bit more comfortable.

I always thought that an off-road suspension called for softer shocks than an onroad setup though.

Barely. I had the 4x4 loaner for a few days and drove it a lot. I only noticed it when I got in my FX4 and drove it off the lot. When I test drove both back to back I couldn't really tell.

My FX4 package still has the chrome. (Although I like the chrome. )

Yep FX4 does nothing to chrome packages. The sport package can be had though.

The FX4 is the skid plates, hill descent, e locker, and the shocks.

It does ride "stiffer". If you need it, you need it. Not sure what that would entail. Been on trails plenty of times without "off road" shocks, but I'm sure they help some. I got the package due to availability. It really is a good deal money wise. I will be swapping to the reg 4x4 shocks as soon as I find some.

I have an FX4 and I test drove regular 4x4's and honestly I could not tell a difference. Really can't even tell for certain if they even have different shocks. Used to be they put ranchos and you could visually tell but now my shocks look the exact same as a regular F150. In short don't let the advertised stiffer shocks steer you away. Ride quality is great.

I thought the FX4 always came with the sport appearance package. I knew the latter could be had on non-FX4 trucks though. I could also swear the loaner I had from the dealer had the descent control but I'm not positive on that.

FX4 is an option on 4x4 trucks this year. Last year it was a trim level. Now u can select FX4 and Sport Package if you want the same look.

I know the FX4 option gives you Hill Descent. There might be another option that gives it also.
