Huh. My FX4 feels TOO stiff. Had to install the sway bar to get it to quit bouncing around. I miss the cadillac feel of my 14' non-fx4.

I have Lariat SC FX4 and feel like it's plenty stiff. Feels much more sporty driving than any truck I have ever had. That said, none of those were Ford's. Mine does not have that big old bus, leaning, swaying feel at all.

I've seen mixed reviews of the FX4 suspension. The ride is indeed super comfortable, just feels like a lincoln town car, swaying like a boat. I prefer a more tight feel especially when i throw it into a corner. Don't get me wrong, I don't expect it to drive like a BMW, but my previous 04 and 09 F150's were better handling than this.

I should note, I got the Max Tow package with it too which is supposed to come with a beefier front sway bar. I'm sure this thing will be awesome off road or even the occasional pothole, as its so compliant. It just doesn't suit my driving style on the street.

I have a platinum FX4 and think it's great! I'm coming from a Nissan Titan LE which is a great "sporty" driving truck

Drove them both back to back and thought both drove & road nice. If either was more "bouncy".... it would be the non-fx4 for sure IMO. The FX4 held the road a tad better but not life changing better. I'll likely get the FX4 for the sticker... not really, but it will be an FX4 if I bring one home.

How'd you get the dealer to replace the shocks? I'm worried that if I take it back, they'll say it's just me.

Doesn't a Raptor "float" on the road too? Maybe the shocks are softer on purpose?

Imagine flying down a rough trail with a jarringly stiff suspension, you would for sure break or rattle stuff loose.

Winner winner chicken dinner!

I think that explains what I have observed on my truck. Unforgiving to road surfaces

I have a Lariat with the FX4 package and the suspension feels very firm with very little sway in the corners.
