FX4 owners I need some help!
Ok so I have a 2018 f150 non fx4. I got a take off engine skidplate. And went to install it and noticed this tiny little metal shield under there. It covers the power steering unit. Now I removed it and the diaper around it and installed the fx4 skidplate. Question is was I supposed to remove the little shield or does it stay on under the fx4 skidplate ?
Anyone with a fx4 could you look and see if you have it or if you just have the big skid plate? I’ll attach a picture. Thanks.

Going by memory..........My 2016 FX4 has on large panel held onto the frame with 4 bolts and a smaller panel that they don’t want you to remove.
i don’t recall any panels under the larger one, I pull it when I service truck to get all the garbage from winter sand etc....

This small one is probably just for the non fx4 versions to cover the power steering. There is also a little fabric thing that goes. Around it also you have to take off.
