Default Fumoto Valve Nirvana

2018 - 3.5 ecoboost - FX4
I have found DIY oil change nirvana, no more hot oil gushing out onto sway bar making a royal mess. I installed a Fumoto F107FX valve and it works fantastic.

If only they were available for 2.7L... the only option we have is an $80 CNC aluminum plug.

And the 2018+ 5.0...

I want to throat punch the engineer who designed the oil drain system on my truck. Even using an oil milk jug and putting cardboard down I still somehow got oil everywhere. This is the only vehicle Ive ever owned which makes a huge mess during an oil change and Ive owned about 25 in my lifetime.

I visited the Fumoto site to see about a valve for my ‘17 Ecoboost 3.5 and it said there wasn’t one...

this was their message: “Sorry, it seems like Ford used a yellow proprietary plug on this one . You'll most likely only be able to use that plug.” Bummer

At least they finally decided to be honest/accurate. Two years ago they listed a plug as compatible with the 17 that was not. I believe it is still sitting on my bench. Several of us plastic pan owners are running this plug and love it. A bit pricey, but it is a very well designed piece and adds a magnet.
