Default Full Race Downpipe Installed

Just wanted to give everyone some feedback on my new mod. I installed a Full Race catted downpipe with ceramic coating. I'm extremely impressed with the quality and construction; the welds are incredible.

I did the install in my garage with the truck on ramps. It was challenging, but mainly because of the lack of space to maneuver and the tight fitment of the pipes. The hardest part was fitting/adjusting the pipes. The ceramic coating makes the pipes fit tighter, so I ended up putting some nickel anti-seize on where they fit together which helped significantly.

All in all, I'm extremely pleased. The exhaust doesn't sound much different than stock, but it has a ton more turbo whistle, which is exactly what I was looking for. As a side note, the rest of the exhaust is stock. The power is amazing. I have had an Unleashed Tuning 93 performance tune for a few months now and it has been great. I had Torrie update my tune for the downpipe and I feel significantly more power.

Below are some pics and a video (my fiance was revving the engine, so the revs are pretty whimpy lol).

and one of the beast

Did you jack the truck up by the transmission pan?

N/M...I see the ramps now.

The jack is just supporting the transmission pan because you have to remove the transmission support brace to remove/install the downpipe.

Call me crazy but I do like the sound of the 4 cylinder turbo cars like the WRX\STI, EVO and Mazda 3 Speed. Im having a harder time liking the sounds of the V6 engines in our F150s, I would rather hear the turbo spool than the exhaust.

Either way, I like it and that's a very clean setup the OP installed but I would add a good quiet muffler and listen to the turbo all day.

I agree with having a hard time liking the sound of our v6 turbo engines. I did this mod primarily for power and because I wanted more turbo sound. My goal was to change the exhaust sound as minimally as possible, which I think it accomplished. To be honest, I'm afraid to add any aftermarket cat back systems because I'm not a fan of the sound they all produce.

Good thing you went with catted pipes because unleashed or torrie wont revise your tunes if you get off-foad pipes that means you will have a check engine light on your dash
