Default Fuel Funnel

I noticed the other day that the funnel is not in my 2016. I think to go back to the dealer now is hopeless. Missing the box link keys too but that is another story.

Is there anything special about the factory funnel? Will any old generic funnel work? Any size requirements other than fitting into the filler hole?

i don’t plan on running out of gas but I live in a hurricane area and need to be able to fill my truck from gas cans in an emergency.

thanks

If you're going back for one part you might as well ask about the funnel. Worst they can say is no.

I bought an extra funnel at Pep Boys. They are pretty much universal.

As for the box keys, the locks should all be the same key. The key ID is stamped on the lock face (if memory serves, it starts with an S). Parts should be able to order you a key and then go have multiple copies made.

Another option is see if you know anyone with box locks and see if their keys work. If so, get copies made. I've done that for a neighbor who lost his set of box lock keys and happen to have the same lock set as mine.
