Default FSA Freezing door latch

This just got posted to my Ford Owners website today. What is a "Field Service Action"?
  1. FSA Title: DOOR LATCH FREEZING CONCERNS
  2. Field Service Action Number: 18N03
  3. My truck was out in snow storms and a few freezing rains last winter and I had no problems. It spends 95 percent of it's time in the garage. Now I'm worried about it stranding me somewhere.

ford just sent me the customer satisfaction program 18n03 letter today . it states if you do not have a problem do nothing, but if you had a problem contact your dealer and they will add additional seals to solve the problem . the letter stated 4 hours for my super crew to be fixed. so my truck is still in the dealer anyway waiting for a fix so I contacted them today about the letter I received and they stated to me not to worry about it because I never complained about the doors freezing so they will do nothing. I have to wait for my doors to freeze me out before they will fix the problem. I hope that never happens because that will really suck if I am hours away over night in the winter.

LOL, perfect. My dealer service advisor tried to give me that line about "it needs to happen first". So I told him it has twice and he looked shocked. Then I said "hey, I leave for work at 4am, so give me your personal cell number and next time it happens, I will text you a video asap". He asked when I wanted it done. I had it scheduled for Monday, but cancelled after a guy posted a video of the latest fix not working. There is a video of a guy in Canada that sprayed all his latches 2 years ago with WD40 and his door latches have never froze up on him.

I had the supposed fix done last year. We had our first cold night (20 degrees) last Saturday and my rear driver side door wouldn't close.
After 4 or 5 times closing it finally latched. I'm taking it to the dealer Friday for another recall and they said they would look at it again.
I will for sure try the wd40 after I get it back.
