Default NHTSA Complaint Form

So after reading through one of the other threads about the frozen door issue, one of the other members suggested filing a complaint with the NHTSA. I went to the website and filled it out. It took less than five minutes. I think this is a good idea because it will start a record of how many people are really having issues.

NHTSA Complaint Form
https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/VehicleComplaint/

What I found weird is that if you search for "2015 Ford F150" there are zero issues being reported with the truck. There should be a record of this happening. Even if you have the TSB completed and are satisfied with the results, please fill out this form so that it gives those still having issues more support when they go to the dealer or Ford for a resolution.

^ Mine is a 2016, build date 9/29/16 and it still has the issues--you would of thunk they would have installed the new parts?

I filled out your NHTSA form

You have to put the "dash" in the F150. I know, I know, but they don't!

He punched the VIN in the computer and said there was nothing. That is because the frozen latch issue is not a safety recall (how can it NOT be?). Ford could have been proactive. Now that it is January and my doors are freezing, the parts to fix it are on back order.

Someone needs to start a class action lawsuit. That may be the only thing that gets Ford's butt into gear.
I understand where you’re coming from, matt_. If you’re still experiencing this concern, be sure to PM me. Send me your VIN, dealer, mileage, full name, concern, and best daytime number. I’ll loop in the customer service manager for your area if needed.

Be sure to bring it in to your Ford Dealer as soon as possible, 02fx4dude.

First, my local dealer is stating there is NO solution from Ford at this time. The TSB referenced here is not resolving customer issues on all trucks. They believe it's down to the grease, but nothing has been issued and Western Washington dealers are not even taking trucks in at this time due to the problem (i.e., no fix). ...
Glad to learn this has already been escalated for you, Rob O. Please, stay in contact with your CSM.

Good news is it is supposed to warm up this week, bad news is rain while it is warm, probably followed by frigid temps again.

Love the positive feedback towards your dealer, catmatton. Please, PM me with your full name, VIN, mileage, dealership, and best daytime number, I’ll get the CSM assigned to your case contact you as soon as possible.

I really think this fix will come down to how good the tech is and how much time and effort they take to put things together right and not just slap parts into it. An 11 hour job paying 7 leaves a lot of incentive to cut corners and just spray and pray with lube. My dealer had the mentality to fix mine no matter the hours it took so they could learn from mine. I think they took the driver's door apart 3 times alone. I spent $80,000 in their service department last year, so maybe taking care of mine was worth a little extra attention on their part.
Glad to learn your dealer was able to take care of this for you, KEVININCHICAGO!

The truck didn't freeze after the TSB work was done until about 7 days later the first time and then about another week later it did it again. The problem is intermittent. Hopefully your truck stays working. ...
