Default Front/rear headlight/tail light wiring harness adapters?

I would like to add some led reverse lights and maybe a set of additional driving lights up front to my ‘18 XL STX. Does anyone make an adapter that plugs into the factory light housings and leaves tails for accessories or do I have to splice into the factory wires? No problem but would really rather not if possible.

Thanks-

Ben

I added a set of JW Speaker legal LED hi/low/turn/DRL/park lights to my truck recently.

I used an adapter I made that goes between the factory wiring harness and the factory LED headlights to trigger my relays.
Here is the thread where I asked about the wire colors....in it is a link to the wire colors...and that post has another link to the 2 pieces you can use to make your intermediate harness. It works perfectly. There is a tab you need to cut from one of the intermediate ends.

Note: there is a grey/blue wire and a blue/grey next to each other...pay attention because I grabbed the wrong one the first time and had to redo it.

Hey thanks for the response. I looked through those threads and cant find what you are talking about. Any chance you could post a link? Sorry to be a drag... I see the splitter arrangement but couldn’t find a link to the end fittings if that is what you are saying. THx

You are in luck, I still have the packages the connectors came in. I’ll post pictures.

The connectors come with approx 8” of wire already on them. So, when you are tying them together, you can add an extra wire for your relay trigger wire.

**the picture with the factory wire colors:
The ones that all start with RF are for the passenger side.
The ones that all start with LF are for the drivers side.

Any questions, feel free to PM me if I don’t answer here. I have all my notifications turned off...so I don’t always see when someone replies to a thread. I only get notifications for PMs.

Oh yeah, the drivers side harness is MUCH easier to access if you only need to get to one of them.

If I wanted to connect the morimoto 2015 to 2017 led taillights to my 18 Xlt with oem halogen taillight. Would I just use these connectors?
