Default Fox shocks going in the trash

Well at christmas i put on the 6112 up front and suffered along with fox 2.0 in back. Just changed to 5160 on the rear today and you can really tell the diff.

However. I am impressed with quality of fox components over the billys as they have held up great over two frigid alberta winters and 55000 km. No leaks.

New billys are digressive offering a firmer ride yet also smoother as they seem to break away on bigger highway hits. The fox are more linear moving around a little more all the time and don't match the overall ride from the front 6112's.

Yes.... I was always going to change backs it just took a few months saving up

Were there any mounting issues with the additional fluid reservoir on the 5160s vs the 5100s, or did they just mount right up?

Well, if you're just gonna throw them away... I'll send you my address and I'll throw them away for you.

I am confused, on one hand you say that the fox's are going in the garbage, then go on to say that you were impressed with the quality of the fox's over the billys? So which is it?

I had the fox's on my last truck and thought they were great, I now have the 5100's and I think that I should have spent the extra and got the fox's again.

I was confused also by this, the random part#'s didn't help things - I couldn't tell what brand is being referred to. I'll add one thing - I had Fox 2.0's & one blew after 16 months. Fox wouldn't warranty so I replaced both with Bilsteens (5100?) and my not so scientific seat of the pants impression is the ride seems about the same as the crappy OEM shocks.
What MtLei wrote seems to confirm this.
