Default Rainx on Moon roof

Anyone ever use Rainx on your moon roof? If so, how do you like the results?

Thank you.

Aquapel lasts about 5 times longer than Rainx. But It costs about 5 times as much, so take your pick. You can find Utube videos of guys who did 1/2 and 1/2 on their windshields to compare.

Or you can use the same thing that you use to finish the paint on your truck. Just remember they all work better on very clean glass. You can use rubbing compound or polish and/or IPA to clean the glass. If you have chips or pits on a windshield from years of use, you will need something with a Mohs hardness greater than glass, like pumice.

Hate RainX. Anything silicone based will contaminate windshield if you get a rock chip and repair will be affected. Reputable glass shops use Aquapel

Yeah. Aquapel works fantastic and longer lasting than Rain-X.

Aquapel for sure. I use griots fine glass polish with a white pad on my DA polisher. Then clean the glass with glass cleaner really well. Apply aquapel and done for the winter. I do this on all 4 of our household vehicles and it works great. I don't know why anyone would say it costs that much more than rainx. I buy it off ebay in bulk and it comes out to about 3 bucks each.

Yes it will work on the Moon roof. I super clean mine with it twice a year or so.

1 0000 Steel wool all the windows
2 Wipe of with dry Blue Scott towel
3 Apply rain x constraint on blue towel and wipe on windows
4 let it dry for ten minutes then apply another coat
5 Take another blue paper towel and wet (with water) it just a little
6 Wipe off the window (on the outside go one direction up and down or back and forth. On the inside do the opposite if u and down on outside then back and forth on inside. This will let you see where a smear is if you have one)
7 Use a dry paper towel and wipe off the windows again this is polishing them.

I have had several rock chips repaired over the years and have never had a problem with them holding, I have been doing this for years now.
