Yes, the bushing is visible at the top of the shock even when mounted, its right underneath the shaft washer and nut. I would inspect after every off-road trip and see if they become distorted or worn.

Thanks for posting OP. I will get Rancho's since several people have had really bad experiences with Fox's lack of customer service.

Agreed, honestly this is the worst customer service experience I have ever had for an aftermarket product. I've purchased a lot of aftermarket products over the years for mustangs, rangers and for other hobbies(mtbs) and occasionally I've had a issue with a product and was always taken care of in some way.

Fox never offered me any kind of options, their stance was that it's my fault and you pay to fix it, that's it, they didn't care that I was a repeat customer across their product line at all. I was shocked that they couldn't try and work something out with me to get me into a more suitable product, nor did they try to offer some kind of comprised solution on fixing my 2.0 shocks. They could have offered a discount price, or offered to have me pay the rebuild cost and then they would cover the parts replacement costs, but nope nothing. That's why I decided that I will eat the cost of these shocks and stick it to them.

They are big enough now that they don't care anymore. Shame.

I wonder if F150 lifts / halo lifts boss shocks would be an option. Those guys seem to be pretty good with their customer service.

^this
They are huge in customer service..Stage3 did a review on the halo coilovers and said they are good, but setup for more street and now and then offloading. I had issues with fox on my 14 and same thing...customer service blew chunks...of all people, Alex at Halo (boss at the time) helped me thru it and he didn't even sell them to me.
Halos handle Chicago streets good enough for me on my 16

That really sucks. I purchased some readylift rear blocks for my super duty, and i didnt get around to putting them in for a year. They were tapered blocks and after I purchased them, they released flat bocks for crew cab trucks to help with vibes.

I tried to install the tapered ones and had terrible vibes, so I contacted readylift about if the blocks were usable with some sort of solution aka carrier bearings etc. They said no but offered to send out a new flat set free of charge no questions asked, and I didnt even buy the blocks from them initially. I asked about sending the tapered block set back and they said dont worry about it. They had no obligation whatsoever to just send me a new block kit with u bolts free of charge, but they did. Granted its not the same price point as coilovers but thats awesome customer service and I never hesitate to share that story. Something other companies should make a note of.

This is a disappointing thread to read. I just installed my Fox 2.0s in the rear today. I sure hope I don't run into these problems. I had ranchos on my 06 and loved them, but I figured I would give the 2.0s a shot because of all the positive reviews I read!

If I was to go back in time I would have ordered the Boss shock honestly. When I was on backorder for 2 months for the front Fox 2.0s I almost changed my order to the Boss(now Halo) 2.0s. I stuck with the Fox because I already received the rear Fox 2.0s and Stage3 had the Fox on sale. Unfortunately during the back order the Fox 2.5 was out of stock also, I mulled switching to that. Stage 3 also thought the Boss shock was superior to the Fox 2.0 when I talked to them about changing my order.

I agree with them, the Boss/Halo design is better then the Fox one, the top hat doesn't wrap around the coil so you don't get the rubbing of the coil on the top hat and you can actually adjust the ride height with a spanner wrench unlike the Fox. I'm not sure how they hold up over long periods of time on washboard roads since its still a 2.0 without a reservoir though. The F150 lifts customer service speaks for itself though, so there is also that going for them also.
