As a last resort, maybe crack open that adapter and verify the connections? Peel off the top label and there will be 4 screws and this page should let you see if it's wired right: http://www.ecoboostperformanceforum....hp?topic=651.0
I have trying to do the same thing on my nephew's 2015 F350 Super Duty. We have already added the Hill Decent switch on my nephew's truck. I have already d/l the "As Built" data for both trucks. My truck is a 2016 F350 Super Duty with Hill Decent from the factory.
My truck is currently at the dealer for some warranty work so I don't have access to it right now so I can't look at the ABS As Built module.
Now for my question, what should I be looking for in the Module? I don't see the same numbers for our Super Dutys as yours have to enable the Hill Decent in my As Built print out.
Thank you in advance!
Hi. I'm a new F350 transplant...just got mine last week. Just found Forscan and I'm working on coming up to speed. The best work is tanking place right here, and I think you guys for it.
My BT receiver should be here tomorrow. Im willing to work with any Superduty guys. I'm not up to speed yet, but Ill put in the time. There is so much great info here but we might want to start a thread in the SD forum?

Thanks for the Reply. I originally did all of the above mentioned and got that message. The adapter is connected to the laptop and being picked up by Forscan in both the connection settings and under the main log screen.
Here is the error I am getting and my settings:
I tried manually adjusting both the connection and elm327 specific but no luck
Taking a shot in the dark on this; but given that it's from Ebay it may have a cheaper older chipset inside, it may not support BT 2.1 and up EDR. maybe try setting the Baud rate to 1200, 2400, 4800, or 9600 and check off the auto increase box in the ForScan COM options. Then try again and let us know. I read into Bosch MSCAN a bit and there is a specific timeout function related to serial transfer speed. I'm not in expert in computer-ology lol, but I've seen this type of stuff before on legacy thermal printers.
I have some not-so-great news. I was in Fort McMurray and got to hook up to a 2016 Limited today which had Sync 3 V2.0 (Yes, it had Android Auto & Car Play). I'm used to modifying climate settings at this point as I've done it for nearly 60 F150's owners using the As Built parameters and unfortunately cosmetic changes which would normally work for Sync 3 V1.0 on any other trim would not take in Sync 3 V2.0.
Some icons like heated steering wheel are slightly different and I suspect Ford played musical chairs with some APIM module parameters.
I was finally able to get heated & cooled seats + HSW on Climate and Home screen for Sync 3 V2.0 by using this:
APIM 7D0 - 01 - 01 to: xxxx - xxxx - F6AB
HOWEVER, after getting it right (or so I thought) Sirius started doing some peek-a-boo magic with each full ignition restart. Really strange things too: it would work, but every GUI button was just a blank outline.
Unfortunately it was not my truck and I had to suspend my efforts. I will have a chance to try again in a week or two.
Just want to give everyone here a heads up that the Sync 3 V2.0 update may mess some settings up if your APIM is already user-modified.

Couldn't help but notice the bit in the right column which says "This product can only be used for Android.Specifications " on the website you supplied lol.
Anyway, if my Baud rate suggestion in F150 Forum Post # 2666 fails then another reason why it probably won't work is because Windows will connect to the bluetooth adapter but not the correct logical COM port. So in other words ForScan through Windows knows there is dongle connected but has no idea how to talk to it.
