Anyone who has been using a MacBook with FORScan I'd appreciate help getting started... what adapter are you using? What all do I need to download to get started (mainly anything not mentioned on page one, but a little added instruction never hurts!)

I appreciate any help guys!
MacBook Pro, running windows on boot camp works fine. Boot to windows, download Forescan and install. Im using the MX BT and it works great.

I've added a tab called "Common" to my spreadsheets that will serve as a location for the most popular mods so people don't have to hunt through all the other various tabs there:

This morning I attempted to change my power point settings at 726-39-01.

I want to have them turn off immediately when vehicle is turned off. The link to all the options is not available as I write this (might have to do with Livntups change to the doc), so going from memory I would replace 1194 with 0000.

My AsBuilt shows that it normally should be 1194-0101-000E

When I open Forscan it shows it at 1194-0001-000D.

I have not made any changes to this address previously, so I am not sure why these numbers are different.

In any case changing 1194 to 0000 gives me a write error, but does effect a write as witnessed by a bunch of immediate tones in the dash. But there is no effect on the power point shutting off when the vehicle is turned off.

I also attempted to change 1194-0101-000E to 1194-0001-000E as well just in case I was misreading the directions on this. I didn't change what Forscan was already showing as it was already at 0.

A little help please.

Set it to: 726-39-01 0000 0101 0069 (This tells it the timeout is enabled but the timeout time is 0)

Edit: if that gives an error try 726-39-01 0001 0101 006A - not sure if a timeout time of zero will give an error so this would be 1 second)

0000-0101-0069 failed as the others I tried did.

0001-0101-006A worked perfectly. Power point shuts down 1 sec after door is opened.

Thanks Livnitup - you are brilliant.

Need to see if this will work on my 13, don't care if I loose Sirius travel link, don't subscribe to it anyway.

Anyone do? What else did this impact if anything?

It would lose Sirius Travel Link, Live Traffic, Vehicle Health Reports, and off the top of my head I don't remember if anything else. I posted that 5753 on XDA a few months ago, but I was using Sync 3 at the time so didn't really test it much. Just figured it out by comparing some European vehicles and enabled the 2 bit to go from 5553 to 5753.
