FORScan - software to enable/disable features in your truck
A module reset in ForScan forces all the relays off then back on within the selected module and is usually needed to re-establish CAN bus communication between your IPC, BCM, PAM and ACM after messing with backup sensor chime settings. Without the modules talking to each other over the vehicle network the IPC handles the reverse chime audio through its board-soldered speaker rather than pass the audio through to the stereo amp system / ACM (audio control module).
Try a module reset in the wrench icon tab in ForScan for the BCM, IPC, ACM and PAM. It may resolve your issue. Here's a screen shot of which menu to look for:
Note: It is normal for lots of errors to appear and lights to flash when resetting these modules whereas your literally switching live sensor and lamp circuits on and off. You will hear the relays switch. All faults automatically clear after a few seconds. I reset modules like this all the time, it's a good first-step when troubleshooting complications which stem from ForScan related errors.

It's amazing, I made one little change to get rid of the annoying doo-doo-doo and it ended up adding an additional annoying noise that I now can't do anything to get rid of!!

Thanks again for your reply and info, however, I don't have a PAM module. Or I guess I should say a PAM module doesn't show up on my screen. Someone else had told me what you meant by resetting the modules so I had already reset the others you mentioned, but to no avail. So I just now went out to do the PAM module and there's not one! Are there different modules for different features included in the truck? Mine is an XLT with no nav, auto temp controls, etc. It does have SYNC3. Anyway, I ended up just doing a reset on EVERY module that had a 'module reset' option beside it and I still have the noise upon inserting my key!

Got a question on the reverse mirror tilt.
is it both mirrors or the passenger only? I have an 18 limited and noticed the spreadsheet has a value for might need. How do I know this?
also the link for calibrating the mirrors after if you will. Is dead, does someone have that link?
many thanks!

I really tend to doubt the noise started with the Forscan change. Its probably because you don't have that chime ringing any more covering up the sound. Pull your fuel pump fuse and then try putting the key in the ignition and see if you hear the sound. I just went out and tried this on my truck, the fuel pump runs for a second or so when you put the key in the ignition.
It definitely started when I made the Forscan change. I've had the truck for right at a year now and the first I heard it was immediately after the Forscan change. Also, the doo-doo-doo chime (which I have enabled now) doesn't sound when you first insert the key, it sounds after you turn the key.
Thanks for your reply though. It's a mystery!

Does anyone know what option has the effect of an adaptive learning data reset for the transmission? Is it the PCM Relearn option, or do I have to reset the PCM module?

No, I got a buddy to insert the key while I listened outside with the hood open. I could hear the Fuel Injector (it's a high pitched kind of noise, same as my Harley when fuel pump primes) then the noise I'm talking about (a low rumble) comes right after! I can't even hear the fuel injector when I'm inside the truck, just the low rumble that sounds like it's coming from the firewall area. Also, for now, I have the chime turned back on. I turned it back on when just as soon as I disabled it, the low rumbling noise started. I turned it back on thinking turning it off caused the rumble but after turning it back on the rumble remains.

Okay, didn't know that, but there's something in the mid engine area that makes a high pitched sound when the key is inserted. Fuel injector(s) maybe?? Than after that sound the low rumbling. I don't know what a blend door is but yes, the sound could be something like a vent door opening and closing multiple times.

High pitched noise = maybe injector but idk, literally on every car nowadays
Rumbling = 18+ fuel pump, coming from tank area on either door opening and/or key insertion. If you're opening the door, the origin of the sound is pretty obvious, but when you're sitting inside and you put the key in it can be hard to tell where it's coming from.

Is there a way in Forscan to remove entirely the Android-Auto functionality? I totally removed it from my phone but when I plug in the phone I still have to put up with the phone trying to make me use it again and all the pauses and screen blips and such until it realizes it will not get another sucker and goes away. I hate this application so bad that it makes my blood boil to even be reminded of it I want it totally out of my life like it never existed. TIA!
