Is there any way to program the APIM or a new Instrument panel outside of the car using forscan?

There must be because people program new instrument panels and APIM's then sell them. No way one would be installing and removing that many times just to program.

I think those people set up their own bench equipment. I don’t know that there is anything available commercially.

Haven't read through all the pages here, WAAY too many pages! So, sorry if this has been asked, and answered already... I didn't see it on the "cheat sheet" as one of the settings though, I want to set the DRL's as the parking lights and fogs. I see I can set it where either are the DRL's but not both. However it shows you can do headlights and parking lights, so I was just wondering if this was possible so I didn't have to turn the switch every time, and I could just always leave it in the auto position.

Yes it can be done. Post 7841 has all the info. Might be a little easier to read in that post instead of spread sheet.

While it's nice to have to ability to download module data from motorcraft, the BEST thing you can do for yourself is to save YOUR OWN module data yourself, and make multiple copies on all sorts of storage media - and do this BEFORE you make any programming changes. You only get one chance to save your factory data - after that .... you can pay Ford to clean up your mistakes for you.

Thread for all DRL discussion (to not clutter up this one): https://www.f150forum.com/f118/setti...t-find-380225/

Allow All Alternate DRL Options (Restrictions Removed - No Invalid Configuration Errors):

BdyCM (As-Built Modifications)

Allow All DRL Choices:
726-45-01: xxxx 7Fxx xxxx

Enabled DRL Selection:
726-50-01: XXxx

XX:

01 = Disabled / Parking Lights Only (See change below)
02 = Low Beams
04 = Front Fog Lamps
08 = Front Turn Lamps
10 = Dedicated DRL Lights (LED Light Bars/Strips) - Enables BCM DRL Outputs - C2280F (F-150) Pins 36 (Right) and 40 (Left)
20 = High Beams
40 = Low Beams and Dedicated DRL Lights

Optional: Enable DRL Parking Lights:
Can be combined with other DRL options above
726-26-02: x1xx xxxx xxxx

Optional: Disable DRL Switchback w/Turn Signal:
726-26-02: xxx0 xxxx xxxx

On/Off for these is controlled from the Instrument Cluster DRL Control.

I know many of you change wiring and such to accomplish some of these which can be now changed in seconds... so enjoy!

Note: To test... DRLs are only active when vehicle is on, headlight switch is in automatic headlights position, and transmission is in Drive. Engine does not have to be running and E-Brake can be engaged.

So if I'm understanding this correctly, set 726-26-01 to the fog lights and changing 726-26-02 enables the parking lights? Thus creating the setting I want...?

It's currently raining here and I don't have a garage, so I'm not gonna walk out with my computer in the rain to try it right now...
