FORScan - software to enable/disable features in your truck
Senior Member
Well I just tried this as listed on the spreadsheet: 7D0-04-01 xxxx xxxx **xx. (** changed to 0E for F150) but no joy! My full line as built settings are 7D0-04-01 0100 0000 00DD.
Anyone else have this issue. I have "forgotten" sync on my phone and deleted the phone from the truck, verified the setting in Forscan and reconnected via BT. The phone (iPhone X) only finds the truck as SYNC.
Anything else to try?

Definitely did NOT change that with FORScan.
Re-attack. On an Android phone, you can click the settings gear on each Bluetooth connection and rename the connection. That's how I changed mine. Can't speak for iOS.

I never made the change and my iPhone Max shows Ford F150.

Too follow along, both of my Android phones show Ford F150 when I bring up connected devices. No FORscan, no changes, all on it's own.

My Sync 3 shows up as Ford F150 on Android. The loaner shows up as Ford Edge and the previous as Ford Flex. I did just switch from an iPhone 6S to OnePlus 6T, but I do remember it being the same on iOS.
I do know that my old Explorer's MFT and old truck's 4.2" Sync always showed up as SYNC.

On my 16 with the latest Sync 3 update, it still said "Sync." I made the change in Forscan, deleted Sync from Bluetooth devices on my iPhone and deleted my iPhone from Sync. Then paired my iPhone to Sync to get it to read "F-150." I think that you need to delete the connection on both the phone and Sync before going thru the pairing process.
My guess is that the newer vehicles have this set from the factory.
