Since I have made the Forscan change to the tow mirror settings, but have yet to swap pins I notice that the fold switch acts as a toggle. No matter whether I push the up or down button the mirrors will fold in either direction and stay put.

If I close them and then exit and lock the vehicle they unfold. Hopefully that will correct itself once I swap pins.

While its kinda creepy its also a nice point of reference to everything you have changed.
It's reported in Ford OASIS. 'Reported' may not be the correct term either... it's more like: 'fields which auto-populate configuration data'. Ford is only openly spying on us and collecting user data with Sync 3, not our ForScan edits. DanMc85 was the one who found it. He is primarily a resident of the 2G Ford Fusion forums.

Also, congratulations on reading through past posts! Pretty sure that was from over a year ago.

Yes, it will be fine once you swap the pins. This is the issue I was having that led me to swapping the polarity on those pins and then voila!

Anybody have any suggestions for a tool to make this easier?
Yes.

I find it is easier to push the pin towards the 'locked in' position when you are trying to release the retaining tab which holds it.

Pushing the pin in removes the friction against the retaining tab and ironically makes it easier to release. When the tab is lifted up simply pull the in the opposite direction to slide the pin out.

I got my pin tool from Princess Auto which is pretty much Harbour Freight.

It's all here. The end is the part you need to see:

I ran into the same thing. In the Forscan spreadsheet, it says:
726-26-02 xxxx xxx* xxxx Frequency Select Cfg: 0=Type 0 (LED), 1=Type 1 (Halogen), 2=Type 2, 3=Type 3 **Set to 0 for Halogen to OEM LED conversion

But when I changed the 1 to 0, the dome light would stay on all the time. So I changed it back to 1. Any ideas?

When you change 726-26-02, you also need to change 726-45-01 and 726-50-01 too. The flashing dome lights are because Type 0 (LED power) would never be set with the halogen DRL settings. Try:
726-45-01 xxxx 7Fxx xxxx
726-50-01 08xx

So 7F allows all DRL choices and 08 uses front turn lamps for DRL. Wonder why the dome light is affected...

Once I do that, should I set 726-26-02 xxxx xxx* xxxx Frequency Select Cfg back to 0 for (LED)? Thanks!

I did my first FORScan changes this weekend, and it took a little work since I had to pull out my old Dell desktop that's running Windows XP, and I don't have an internet cord long enough to get to the garage. In case anyone is ever wondering, that worked just fine, you just have to download everything ahead of time while you are online. The only issue I had was changing the driver on the OBDII adapter (I needed the Windows XP version).

Anyway, two quick comments for the spreadsheet:
  1. For the Sync 3 New Blue Theme coding - on line 7D0-01-02, the spreadsheet says: 0xxx-xxxx-xxxx. Well, mine already had a 0 in the first placeholder, and I needed to change that to a 1. Same as this guy's video at 22:30-23:05.
  2. I changed my tire size from stock 275/55R20 to 275/60R20 (09F2) and did NOT get a wrench icon on the dash. It's a very small diameter change, so maybe that's why; I forgot to check for DTC's in FORScan before I shut it down though. I did verify my speed at 80 MPH and it was right on.
I have a 2018 STX 5.0L.

Thanks for all the help to everyone here!
