FORScan - software to enable/disable features in your truck
good to know that 5753 is a euro code. I really like the Lincoln Sync background and did both the nav while moving and the Lincoln at the same time and hated the euro changes. Is there any way to not have your favorites saved in your nav erased when you switch Sync backgrounds?
Sync 3 V3.0 isn't even really worthy of this discussion anyway, I mean, considering that the 'update' isn't something Ford constructed, that version of release contains oddities.
In any official version of Sync 3 when you set 7D0-02-01 5753 xxxx xx you'll notice that the language pack will default to English UK.
In the frankenstien'ed version of Sync 3 V3.0 that's floating around, if you set 7D0-02-01 5753 xxxx xx the language pack will remain setup as English US. I think that who ever compiled the package may have made a mistake in their patchwork of files and this is why 7D0-02-01 5753 allows Navigation-while-in-motion for Sync 3 V3.0 (user released), but not 1.0,1.1,2.0,2.1,2.2,2.3 (Ford released).
I came up with a theory that in the future if any Ford technician wants to verify if a vehicle has the user-made version of Sync 3 V3.0 as opposed to the real release of Sync 3 3.0, all a Ford tech at any dealer would have to do is change 7D0-02-01 5753 xxxx xx and if the language pack changes to English UK and adds EU language options then it would verify that you have a properly installed official release of Sync 3 V3.0; while on the other hand, if your language pack remained at English US then they could technically blame you for faults, remove warranty coverage and essentially prove you've been messing with on board systems.
I have yet to come across an official version of Sync 3 V3.0 so for now it's just a theory.

Hmm, I remember this happened when I upgraded to version 2.2 but I just looked on OASIS for my VIN and it has no mention of the 3.0 upgrade I did; it still says I'm on 2.2
Have a few DTCs on my 18. These are prior to making any changes. Should I be worried about these? I’ve cleared them a few times and they keep coming back.

I'd just clear them and not worry about them unless they keep coming back. They may have happened when they put the truck in Transport Mode before shipping or right after they took it out of Transport Mode.
