OK all, I've tried to get rid of the IPC Quick boot feature. My log shows that in 720-07-01 my last 4 digits are 2002 but the logo is still there when I boot the truck up. I've tried changing the fist digit back to a 6, wrote it and then went back to a 2 but no such luck. I also tried a 'write all' when I had the 2 in there.

Any suggestions?

I didn't think 2016 had the animated boot screen. On the 17 and up that boot screen show the falling Ford Built Tough logo and dust blowing out when it hits. If your only seeing the logo then that's what you have. I believe this was only meant to stop the animated part

Hi guys, I just updated from a 4 inch MFT to an 8 inch Sync 3 system. The only issue I have is on the climate screen .It appears to show a few things, like the temp change animation/indicator on screen but I have the physical controls. Any idea how to update this so it works with my hardware?

It depends; please post a picture of what your Sync 3 climate screen controls show and what your climate bezel looks like. Also please advise if your new donor bezel has settings your truck didn't come equipped with.

Did you wire your FCIM to your new APIM?

Sync 3 has an few different climate screen layouts depending on the vehicle it came from.

The Sync 3 climate screen can be changed or can be outright disabled, but I don't know what to recommend without knowing your setup and what you're looking at.

Would anyone care if I made a video detailing how to use the new OBD MX+ with ForScan on a MacBook through VMware? I might just do it anyway for fun. But thought I'd ask before buying the equipment and taking the time to explain the processes.

I don't think anyone would mind but I thought there was some discussion a month or so ago that the MX+ didn't work to make changes with Forscan. I might be remembering wrong.

The OBD MX + didn't work with ForScan until right around Christmas when ForScan was updated. They added OBD MX+ support according to their change logs. So I figured I'll pick one up and give it a go with a MacBook.

So I used the conversion harness from 4d tech. So I don't know about the wiring between the FCIM And APIM, I assume it is connected. The new bezel does have more features than mine came with, heated seats and rear defrost, but I could change that out easily enough. I will get a picture up tonight
