Which reminds me, and Merry Christmas! , when I enable the TBC are there two steps taken? One to enable the device, then next to enable the gain control? Thanks in advance.
You need these 2 changes:
TBC Gain:

And the following would be for your 5.0L XLT with 4.2" screen
720-07-01 xxxx x8xx xxxx - TBC enabled

Yup. ACM is what has the HD Radio and Sirius. Might as well find one with both if you’re upgrading even if you never use Sirius.

You need some kind of radiant heating element for your 24/7 12V mod

It will work if the 18 ACM has its own internal amp. I think they do. You need to do many Forscan changes to the ACM for it to work with out the DSP. I know for fact the other way around I did have my XLT ACM setup to work with the DSP before I quired a HD ACM.

Anyone have any issue with using Forscan on a 2018 XLT? I’m using a VCM 2 and it won’t connect. It’s stops at reading IPMB.

Hey, just about to pull the trigger on the Forscan equipment. I have a growing list of mods if like to make, but activating a trailer brake controller is the "must have " item. I have a windows 10 PC. Will it work? Are the links in the first post still good tools to buy, or are there beret ones available now? I'm a total newb to this. also, I live in Southport, NC if anyone is local and wants to show me the ropes.

You can activate a trailer brake controller with FORScan easily. The adapters listed in the tutorial are fine to get the job done; the tutorial is continually updated.

Quick question---By the way, thanks for all the work you and the crew have done with the program--MANY KUDOS. My brain snapped into PARK today.
New forscan chart 12/4/17 shows battery monitoring system as BCM
726-04-01 xxx0=off, xxx2=on. Asbuilt show mine as xxx1. Asbuilt also shows xxx1=LIN, xxx2=PWM. What does LIN & PWM mean?
Thanks, Tom

LIN = LOCAL INTERCONNECT NETWORK
PWM = Pulse Width Modulation
