On the display go to Settings-> Advance Settings ->Vehicle -> Remote Start -> Climate Control -> then select Auto, when the truck's cabin temp is below a certain level the defrost, heated seats, & heated wheel (if you have it ) will come on
Gotcha, was thinking they'd be a separate line for climate & heated seats in the IPC.

There is but only in the lariat and above I know on the XLT it doesn’t give you that option all you can do set it up for auto and it should turn the seats on two depending on the temperature In the cab. My seats did get warm with remote start but hot like on the hi setting.

If anything it's got to be in the SCME. I'll do a compare later, but as Livin said, probably it's the firmware in the SCME, not an option.
Thanks guys! I really appreciate this forum. I called my dealer already because I have the seatbelt recall and I asked him about if there was a way to check the firmware on the module. We are gonna check it out on the 18th but I figured i could still see if we could change it in forscan. Has to be something to do with the module remembering the function you recently had running prior to shutting the ignition off.

Ok great I was comparing 776 -SCME data from a 2018 not the same at all. Firmware differences for sure. On the FCIM look some bits are noted different in the first four lines of codes. The rest of the lines are the vin.

Do you think it’s the seat modules firmware or something else?

Here is a YouTube link to the differences in the 2018. The memory heated seat part starts around 2:15...

I think it's the SCME module but the dealer is only going to update firmware to what it shows available for your truck.

I can tell you with almost absolute certainty that it's in the FCIM. My mom's 2016 Edge was having issues with the heated mirrors coming on when remote started. I used IDS and upgraded the software on the FCIM, and it started remembering the heated seats from previous run cycles. It never did it before the software update.

I've checked on my 2015 F150 and there wasn't an update to the FCIM software. There might be a way to cross flash the software from a newer vehicle, I just don't have that ability.

I’m really close with the service manager so I can try that out lol I just need to make sure what module it is before we start updating stuff.

Maybe I'll give that a shot tomorrow and see....
