I'd like to add the HSW+Heated/Cooled Seats icons to her Sync3 display like my pickup and I'm betting the values aren't in the same place.
You can checkout PlatinumOwner's Explorer spreadsheet but the value change should be in the same location & same values since it's Sync 3:

The issue I had when trying this on my '17 Explorer is that it will remove the rear climate controls from the climate screen if you try to add those to the home screen

Thanks for the heads up on this. We just got the vehicle last night so I haven't had much time to get familiar with all the bells and whistles. It may be a non-issue for us as I don't use the climate screen on my F150 and I doubt my wife will use it in the Explorer. More handy to have the HSW button front and center.

Not my forte, but it turned up in my inbox and may interest some of the readers here.

I messed with my wife's 2017 explorer and found a value that should be useful.

7D0-01-01 xxxx xxxx x*xx:
You should have a C there now.
C=HSW & Rear Climate

This should give you the following result.
E=HSW & Heated & Cooled Seats & Rear Climate

With E, Does the last screen stay when turning off then back on. I thought I read that only C does that

Unfortunately, you are correct. I forgot to mention that. Changing it from C to any other Value, looses the ability to recall the last screen on power up. That was the initial reason I was testing.

Break down the C (12) value
8=Rear Climate
4=Heated Steering Wheel

A 4 works also to keep the last screen, just tried it in my Fusion. It now boots up on Navigation screen if I left off on that screen. I just no longer have any on screen climate control buttons, so I have to use the heated seat buttons on the FCIM this winter if I leave it this way. Also have to go over to the climate menu to turn on the heated steering wheel since the icon is removed from the home screen.

I don't have rear climate.

I wonder if a 0 would also work if you don't have a heated steering wheel and no on-screen heated/ac seat controls.

Spent a couple hours with the truck today and made several changes and several attempted changes. Ran in to these issues:

1- GT splash screen will not load - only gives me the Ford oval
2 - added climate tab and no climate functions worked, did this after adding heated/cooled seats (XLT without cooled seats,) since it didn't work I disabled it and bam! Heated seats on home screen. Didn't see anything in the spreadsheet for heated seat only on home screen so I'm not sure if this has been done before.
3- tab color change will not work. I'm ok with that because it doesn't bother me that much that they are all blue.
4- easy entry/exit - it added it to my settings on the IPC but is does not let me make changes, do I need to make another modification or do I need memory seating?

I'm really getting the hang of some of this!

GT requires 2.2 Sync 3 update installed

Heated Seats on home screen use a value of 3 in that bit in the APIM, it has been done many times before.

Timeless is the setting that is all blue, you would want classic if you want different colors. Lincoln colors require lincoln theme.

Also requires a change in your drivers seat module (or climate seat module).
