Well fellas, this is another Sunday well waisted under my belt. I made a video to save us all from typing the same thing over and over; how to renew your ForScan key in under 60 seconds. I know there are already write ups on this but you'd be surprised how many people don't like to read. I suppose this would also be sufficient for any non-english users.

All new F150's have these messages the moment they come off the line, don't assume it's from something you did. I think there's an umbilical cord that goes to the truck as it rolls down the assembly line or something to that effect which causes these messages as Ford rolls it out the door. I've never seen a Ford without one or more of these types of messages and I've sat in plenty.

Do you know if I can just put in there 35/12.50r20 in the spreadsheet or if I need to convert to millimeters?

Thank you

Thanks for the info. However, I think it's from the changes. My truck was clean before starting and now they are recurring after each drive cycle after clearing. I understand that you can always get a few from dead batteries when modules go offline or the occasional collisions on the CANbus where you might have a rare latency issue with the message packet, but I don't believe this to be the case this time.

Default 2017 Seatbelt Minder change

So I'm a newbie to the Forscan world, but used the Tutorial provided by Livinitup (really grateful!) and have successfully made a few changes.

I believe one setting I was trying to change is referred to as the Seatbelt Minder - on my 17', when I unbuckle with the vehicle in gear and moving, my audio system is muted and indicated the need to "buckle to unmute". This is the feature I'm attempting to disable.

I entered IPC changes to 720-01-01; however, the muting still occurs.

Am I confused about what the "Seatbelt Minder" is, or could there be a change for 2017s?

Thanks!

Yeah this sounds like something that may be new for the 17s, I've never experienced this on mine.

Well after waiting about 6 weeks for my specialized Russian adapter replacement, tracking shows it's finally in New York on the way to me so hopefully next weekend I can get back to adding some new entries to the spreadsheets.

Hey I just wanted to say that I didn't realize the importance of the work you're doing with this mod when you first brought it up. 2016BoostedGreyGoose summarized it well and now I realize the whole significance of it so don't hesitate to pm me if there's anything I can help with
