No it was a couple weeks before I even found out about forscan. Started as a once a week thing and progressively got worse until today ir appears to have died. ran forscan got the DTCs then reset them each time the sync did it's song and dance like after a reprogram. ran the manual tests keeps setting the DTCs so I guess I have a hard failure.
My only concern is if I take it in they will goon up all the changes i put into the APIM AND BCM

Well I just fixed it.. The old fashioned way... I droped the tail gate and the slammed it shut. waa-laa camera works... LMAO

That's probably going to be easier than what I really need,,, a way of making the displays brighter during the day,, I can't see the darn things.. Even with everything turned up all the way..

Well if you test the BCM it will open the tailgate At least I know it's something in the tailgate

I just enabled this feature using the "plain english" easy method. It was already there, just had to change it from disabled to b enabled. I have looked as best I can on my truck"s data and I don't see anything in "plain english" so if it is there it's a value that must be changed. My sister has a 2013 Escape, I'm going to see what it has available to change later today.

Thanks fordtrk, I suspect it's there somewhere as it's been available in Fords for quite some time, just not enabled in many. Trying to remember if my 2011 Edge or MKX did this, I think the MKX might have had the global down enabled. My 2001 Lincoln LX had both global up and down enabled and would open close sun roof as well.

If it were me I'd try the tools button in FORScan and do module resets for APIM, FCIM, BCM, IPMB then clear DTCs to see if that helps before involving the dealer. In the service manual those DTCs you listed all seem to suggest checking the wiring connections...have you recently added any aftermarket things to the truck?

Seems I remember someone in a thread talking about removing their tailgate and there was something said about a connector for the rear camera that needs to be disconnected underneath. Maybe this connector is the issue?

2016 F150 lariat. When I have the truck running and then go back to close the tailgate I get a "double honk" of the horn as if the truck believes I would just leave it running. Do you know the code/address register to disable this "double honk"? I looked at the PIMs and found a number of horn options but could not identify this particular double honk behavior that I would like to disable. Thanks.
