I'm pretty sure I already have it under the dash. It just needs to be programmed in ForScan I believe. Isn't that true?

Depends on the truck. Easy enough to look under the dash near the gas pedal, and see if you have the actual module or just the dummy socket that the 2 harnesses clip into.

It is NOT there on my 2020 XLT. I also am going through a similar mirror upgrade, and I need the switch, bezel, AND the under-dash controller module (and of course the added wiring in the doors -- while my truck *did* come with mirror signals, it did NOT come with spotlights or puddles from the factory -- I have just the 8 pin mirror connectors).

Here's the dummy socket the spotlight module's connectors are plugged into if you do NOT have the spotlight module:

I do need to get under there and look. I believe I have seen the module, I just need verify. I'll try tomorrow when it's warmer out. I don't like doing things like this when plastic is brittle.

Happen to know the PN for the module?

Also, I heard that they stopped adding the modules by default after 2019 production. Might explain why you don't have it.

The info I have says the PN is: "FU5Z 13C788 A", but I can't guarantee it. Last I checked it was about $70 PLUS a $50 core charge.

EDIT TO ADD: Embossed in the back of that module are the words: "SET ASIDE IF DROPPED", so it appears that the module might be somewhat fragile? Hmmm...

If the truck came with spotlights you have the module, if not then no. They aren't going to put a module in the truck to just sit there. My 2015 XL had the wiring under the dash with no module when I added it to the truck along with the mirrors with lights.

Not entirely true. Most of the truck is plug and play. Lots of stuff in there that isn't set up to work yet, but there are plugs, harnesses and equipment. Just gotta make em work. I'm being cautiously optimistic in my search to find out about mine.

Where is the link to the Forscan spreadsheet for puddle light activation?
