Ford's new math, or.... time warp
Ya know, I was thinking today how nice it is to not have any problems with my 2015, you know some of the software challenges some peoples truck have had. Sure is nice. Then, as I'm driving home, I get the oil change message. WTH? I just changed oil 2 months ago and barely drive 150 miles/week in this truck. Then I see the odometer.
So that is significantly higher than the 16,706 miles I had at Thanksgiving last time I did an oil change.
Tires have worn very well for those miles, hardly any wear.
So, I have two choices:
Ford software engineers can't figure out basic math, or I got stuck in some time warp and went to about 2080 which is about when I would hit that number at the rate I'm driving this truck.
Is this a bad sign?

You used the flux capacitor full synthetic... didn't you? Tisk.
Man.. so.. I'm assuming that in order to correct this, the dealer's going to have to 'best guess' your mileage on a PCM reflash or something along those lines. Or.. you could just park it, and 15 years from now, sell the truck and proudly proclaim "she's all original!"

Hahaha, must have really been spinning those tires on the icy roads, or Ferris Bueller has been in your garage.
Hopefully that is just the oil change mileage and not the odometer. The dealer will never believe the odometer is wrong and you're out of warranty now.

Man, that trucks a keeper! How does she run...Ford trucks are so good, I bet that there truck drives like it’s got less than 20,000 miles on her!
Id be half tempted to thawing by a dealership and tell them I want an appraisal to see what it’s worth....just to see their faces of disbelief at how clean and nice a 400K mike truck can look. Seats, pedals, and steering wheel would look much nicer than they would expect. Especially if they ask if the mileage is right and you respond Yes!
All humor aside, I hope that can be reset easily.

For average speed, he can divide the miles on his odometer by the running hours shown on his EVIC. If the hours didn’t change, and the mileage is more than 200X the actual...then average speed would be over 200X higher. If his average speed was 30 mph....multiply by 200...so about 6000mph. That would give him the highest mileage and certainly the fastest ever truck!
