True. I usually leave them on so I don't miss my exit. If I don't want the interruptions, I just unplug the phone from the USB ports.

The thing I like about the CarPlay system is the flexibility it gives.

I can't imagine paying for a built in gps again.

Ford has improved their voice navigation package. To encourage you to include it as an option they are offering $500 discount until July 1. That means it only costs you $295. Way worth it.

I have only used it a couple of times and has worked flawlessly, android is fine as well until your in an area with no cell service. I'd rather have it then not.

We got it in my wife's 2014 Escape and we liked it enough we now have it in our new 2017 XLT. With the $500 discount at the time of purchase the NAV was $250. No complaints here.
