I'm sorry you're feeling stressed, I would be also! I hope it's as simple as getting into the truck with hard key then pushing the button. One thing that came to mind is the spot under the cup holder for when the FOB has a low battery... Even though your FOB is fine, maybe remember that little slot as I could see there being some little trick like that to get it started when in "deep sleep."

Please keep us updated as this may really help someone in the future. I know a guy that works for my dealership and his only job is the tech stuff on these vehicles. I'll reach out and see if he knows anything.

From what I read you'll just have to use the key, your modem is off and will stay off until you wake it up with your key/keyfob.
If hitting unlock doesn't do it, you can get the key out of the inside of the FOB, but I don't believe it will come to that....

I searched my 2016 F150 manual for the word sleep. It came up with one reference to sleep which had to do with replacement of the battery and letting it rest for 8 hours before starting the vehicle as it needs to relearn the battery level.

No help to you. Mine can't use Ford Pass anyway.

Here is my guess. Similar to when you put your computer into sleep mode it will still respond to a key input or mouse move. If it doesn't, then use the key inside the fob to gain access to the truck. Then attempt to start it normally, brake pedal down and push the start/stop button. It is simply conserving battery power. It's asleep, it ain't dead.

There really isn't anything you can do until you get to your truck anyway, so stop panicking. Make some preparations. Find where the nearest Ford dealership is and contact them about a possible need for a tow and what they recommend. You should already have Ford tow service, so that it isn't going to cost you anything. You are at the airport - reserve a rental car just in case. Ford will probably pay for some if not all of that. If your truck starts, call the rental company and cancel the reservation and drive home.

If it all works out then you may find that you aren't so pi$$ed about the functionality of "deep sleep", but the inability of Ford customer service to have no knowledge of it is truly inexcusable.

Good luck, hope it just ends being a non-issue for you.

I hope your right. Nothing on sleep, or deep sleep in my owners manual.

I am not confident when Ford Customer service can't help. Fordpass can't help. Both say they never heard of it, and can't find anything on it.

I'm not pissed about Deep Sleep. I am pissed I can not find any information on how to get the truck out of it, or what steps to take. I am pissed I have over 2 hours on the phone with customer service and there answer is call a tow truck to take it to dealer. I am pissed the Fordpass that sent me the notice it was in deep sleep will not respond to either e-mail I sent. I am pissed two 45 minute chat sessions with Fordpass and they cant answer anyting. An hour on the phone with Fordpass no answers.

Yes I have Ford tow. I live 623 miles from the heliport where my truck is. So I really do not want to loose all day Thursday or even three hours trying to figure my truck out.

If it has to be towed and I have to get a rental thats a full two days I have lost of my time off, plus a night in a hotel room as I can not drive 1246 miles with out resting.

I am pissed Ford choose to put no information in my owners manaul.

I am pissed at me, for Buying my First Ford.

Guess there was a good reason I had 15 GMC trucks over 35 years and no Fords. Even if there is nothing wrong, Ford cant even tell me that. Customer service SUCKS.

I am calling service manager at my local Dealer, just maybe they know something.

I feel pretty confident that you will not have any issues. can't imagine if this was the case that ford would be paying for everybody that doesn't drive there car for days and weeks at a time to be paying for road side service and towing. That would be a huge money loss

I can not with Fordpass schedule a wake up. It does not even give me an option. I wish I could find a document like this for Fordpass.

I sure appreciate you trying

It is not. Our app does not have the ability to schedule a wake up. You can schedule a remote start. However you can not schedule on when the vehicle is in Deep Sleep.

Sad Ford has nothing in owners manual, and I call Fordpass and they never heard of deep sleep.

I have tried google several times. There is no document for help with Fordpass. My last search does bring up the one for ford access.

The Fordpass web site has no information, nor does the app store.

Blows my mind Ford customer service cant help, and never heard of deep sleep. Fordpass also can't help and never heard of deep sleep. No information on Fordpass web site. Nothing in owners manual. Nothing on Ford web site. owner.ford also no help

Really sad.

On a side note I came from a GMC Sierra to a f150 as well. Loved the onstar but pricey. So far except for a few minor issues the ford doesn't have like night time approach lighting and floor board lighting the Sierra had but love everything else about the f150 so far.

Unfortunately I am not off to a good start with Ford.

Sad an issue cant be answered, its been 48 Hours that I have been trying Ford Customer Service, and Fordpass. Never had an issue with a GMC were I after a few hours couldn't get an answer.

19 mpg is also not good for a truck that is suppose to get 23 mpg. My GMC all got with in 1 mpg of the rating, this truck is 4 low.

My time off is everything to me, been at sea for 21 days. I sure don't want to loose days in Houma LA trying to get my truck going.

It may be as simple as opening the door with the hard key to wake it up. I have no clue. Sad thing is Ford Does not either

Trying the Service Manager where I bought the truck in the Morning.
