Just a thought, but for threads like this (many pages &/or started a long time ago) it would be cool if the author of the thread would go back in & 'update' the original post.

Sounds like the solution to this problem is just manually unlocking the door with the old-fashioned key located inside the fob, & then starting the truck up? amiright?

[QUOTE=Miss E;5654412]We got a message via the app telling us that our 2017 F150 was in deep sleep mode. Okay, no issue we know it's easy to wake her up.
We started it up yesterday for the first time in about 3 weeks took her to the gas station (about a 5 minute drive), brought her home and parked her.
Then this morning on my drive to work (about 60 kms) the check engine light came on. I/we don't drive the truck enough so I couldn't tell it if was acting differently... but I don't think it was.

Do you think the light came on because it was parked for so long? When parked it's on a tiny bit of a angle... could the fluids have settled and not moved around enough which caused the light?

I am going to call the Fixed Ops @ the dealership, just thought I would ask here as well.

EDIT: Called the dealership and the person I normally talk to is out sick The Service Advisor I spoke to said that mostlikely it's the battery... and that we should bring it in.

I would want that scanned. It could be all sorts of things from a false reading to blown fuse etc. If it goes away, and the truck acts normally after - I'd chalk it up to a false temp reading.

Default Deep Sleep Wake-Up Attempts have not worked

Ford Pass is telling me my 2017 F150 XLT is Deep Sleep Mode.

I have unlocked using the key, followed by starting with the key.
I have unlocked using the keypad, followed by starting with the key.
I have unlocked using the Fab, followed by starting with the key.

The app itself is telling me "All" I need to do is start it manually. So far, this does not work.

Cell coverage is not an issue.

So I left my truck parked for about 3 weeks. And my truck went into deeply sleep mode which is perfectly fine. But when I came back and manually started the truck, it never got out of deep sleep mode.

When i first left my truck for more than 10 days it went into deeply sleep but it got out of deep sleep when I , manually started the truck.

But this time it did not get out of deep sleep mode. I called fordpass and they took my info and said someone will call me. I asked if they could just reset my fordpass from their end and see if it fixes the problem. But they said I need to wait for the call.

I also had a check engine light one morning so I took it to the dealer and the tech ran the diagnostics and for d that it was some software update, which he performed and sent me on my way. The check engine light came back on right away, so I did a u turn and the dealer kept my truck over night. Next day I picked it up and no check engine light.

Still fordpass kept saying my truck was in deep sleep. So did a master reset of the sync and reinstalled the app and still it hasn't fixed anything. The fuel remaining does update in the app but can't use any of the functions.

So I don't know what to do n3xt other than wait for fordpass to call me.

I have had a lot of issues with fordpass. Ever since I have had my truck, the app has been useful for about 20% of the time.

Synch Ver 2.2. After your post, I tried to update to 2.3 but regardless of how good a wifi signal it has, the icon just spins around when I tell it to search for updates. It'll spin around for half an hour on attempts and do nothing. This is why I stopped looking for updates last year. It won't tell you you have the current version when you do, it'll just spin around and do nothing. Later today, I'll try disconnecting the battery and see if that'll bring it out of sleep mode.

Got a call from fordpass they left a voicemail. They said fordpass just pushed another update and that I should manually start the truck and it should work.

I o0ened the fordpass app and it still said vehicle in deep sleep mode, then I hit refresh and it was fixed.

It all works now.

Default Remote feature disable to preserve battery

Hello!,
2022 Lariat; Parked for a week end and got message late Sunday that "remote feature disable to preserve battery." I cannot turn on the truck remotely. Then after I drive every day 150KM or more; still late night or early morning I get same message.

I have Thinkware Pro 800 Dash cam; I have disconnected four days; it seems working and again I didn't drive for a day and again ford pass remote feature didn't work.

This has been working fine (even with Dash Cam) for the last 9 months. Any thoughts? Thank you
