They have! I'm sure the nav system components are 90%+ from last gen.

I predict '17 with the new transmission and 3.5EB Gen2. That will likely be the year I jump in.

Maybe that will how they decide to upgrade the F150 to Sync....after they use up all the existing inventory of components. ha

WoW this really blows spend 60k and NOW they want to repalce the system one year AFTER the debut of a ALL NEW COMPANY FACE VEHICLE LAUNCHES?

Man I dont even want to buy the truck now. If I did then I would have to buy it lose money, trade it in in 2016 for another F-150. ugh. Maybe I should just look at that Grand Cherokee Summit again. Man I was so pumped.

Per Mike... it will be available down the road, but no timeline for the F-150 as of today.... basic expected PR answer.

that's pretty crappy to announce the new software and not give the option of upgrading. not even the newer models (2015).

I haven't ordered a 2015 yet, but I feel really bad for those that have and then this news comes out. This was a HUGE oversight by Ford, IMO. Why not plan the launches to coincide with each other? What better vehicle launch to highlight the new Sync 3 than a 2015 F150, Ford's flagship vehicle?

I have to say that this will make me hold off on my 2015 purchase. Frustrating, but I'm a big technology guy and this is a pretty big deal for me... I am glad to see some progress all the same but really am wanting Android Auto functionality as well.
