Ford Screwed Up on the assembly line!!!

believe it or not this is most likely no accident. It's typically caused by not having the correct part on the assembly line.
In that case they are told to put whatever non-matching part they have on the vehicle to keep it going down the line.
It costs exponentially more money to stop the production line for even 1 minute than to pay the dealer to fix it at delivery.

Most sales men can't answer a question unless they find the answer in the brochure, so finding stuff like this that was missed at delivery doesn't surprise me, most of us are too excited about a new truck to notice a minor detail such as this or a badge.
Although I probably would have talked to the dealer long before posting about it online but that's just common sense to me.

Just wanted you to know that I work at the Kansas City Assembly Plant where your truck was built. I'm sorry you have to deal with this and I posted your post on our plants Facebook page because this is unacceptable ! Please pm me if you have any issues , I'll make sure that this issue is addressed to the plant manager, fixed and that you are taken care of. Take care !

Thank you for the kind words Ford has been great to my family and helps me provide for my kids... I'm thankful to have this job and the only reason we are working lots of overtime is because of all of you . I want to do my part to make sure everyone is happy. Unfortunately, it's the negative attention that effects us the most. If there's something I can do that will help him or anyone, I'll do it. I want him, his family, his friends to consider buying another Ford instead of remembering a mistake that was made and not handled well. I'm just lucky to have become personal friends with many of you from my past builds, races, and conversations ")
