Ford Remote Access - Compatibility?
Anyone know if the Ford Remote Access app works with 2016 Lariat FX4 Sync 3 v3 or is this a separate app all together to make app lock / unlock / remote start work? Asked the dealer, they are clueless.

Do you have Sync Connect (this not the same as having Sync).

Thanks LoneWolf for the quick reply - probably really dumb***** answer, but I dont know, how would I know if I did? If I do not, can I add it via Forscan or is this a hardware requirement in addition to Sync 3?

The Ford Remote Access App and you will need the modules. Works fine with it, no dealer programming required

You need the remote access module installed into your truck in order to use the app.

Ford Remote Access works independently of Sync, and yes, that's your only option TODAY. Ford was going to release, this past summer, a newer tool but they never did.
