I installed FS7Z-19A361-A on my 2019 XLT with no issues. I picked it up off of Ebay for ~$43.

I didn't want to spend the money on a bracket, so I first tried double-sided tape. That was in August, and the tape released due to the high temperatures that we have down here.

I ended up fabricating a bracket out of some acrylic that I had laying around, and holding it to the bracket with some old PC screws. Worked out well:

I bought mine from the same eBay vendor/Ford dealership. Great experience, no problems. The instructions didn't mention anything about the hood sensor/jumper, but I had remembered someone mentioning it in a forum post and thought what the heck, maybe that's why they put this jumper in the box... and voila! It worked (after ForScan changes). It also has an easily adjustable motion/impact sensor on it and this is great. FYI, without this, your truck won't even sound an alarm until someone opens a door, and even then there's a delay!! The Perimeter Plus will tell you if it was set off while you were gone, too (single honk).

The big irritant of this security device is that thunder, heavy truck rumbling by, loud fireworks, other 'heavy' sounds set it off. Even the so called music that some fools deafen themselves with can make it sound off. I need to lessen the sensitivity to hopefully get rid of this issue, and hope that I don't overcompensate to render it useless.
Being woken up during normal sleep times is a bit unsettling, and wondering if you just need to reset it or have target practice! I would think that living in a close together high priced neighborhood would not make a F-150 owner very popular with this problem.

BTW, FaIrway Ford is my go-to dealer for many items. Never dissatisfied.

Thanks, I thankfully haven't needed to adjust mine. It does get a little upset and give me a single honk for heavy thunder or a loud car/truck passing inside an enclosed parking garage, but doesn't really do it just sitting in my driveway. I love that if you fiddle with the trailer hitch, it sets it off. Perfect.

I'm using the one from my 2016 on my 2020 and it worked fine when I installed it. Yesterday though it went off without me reviewing a text that it went off. Where do I check that setting?

I think my module is dead. Remote start is already enabled as I have remote start with the Fordpass app (BCM 726-22-02 xxx1 xxxx xxxx).
Modified IPC which should enable the alarm: IPC 720-02-02 5xxx xx

Cant get remote start to work and cant set the alarm off by banging the wheel or shaking the vehicle.

Is there anyway to know if the module is actually good?

If you already have remote start with the app you need to install the jumper plug. Mine also won’t go off if I hit the steering wheel but will if I slam the tailgate or climb in the bed. If I turn the sensitivity all the way up I can set it off by hitting the mirror but then every single somewhat loud vehicle sets it off.

A few questions, I thought I read somewhere that you are supposed to leave both of the jumpers in for the remote start and the perimeter alarm? Supposedly the directions can read a bit confusing to how it is actually supposed to be, can anyone confirm this?

I am wanting to add this to my 2020 XLT which already has Ford Pass remote start and the 4G modem. I also understand that with this configuration I do not need to enable anything with Forscan to add the perimeter plus.

Also, will this alert me on FordPass if the alarm goes off?

Are there two jumpers then or just one?
