Hey guys new to the site. 2018 Lariat without remote start here. I have installed the perimeter plus without the led, and used forscan. I have successfully used forscan to mod everything else such as Bambi mode, running lights, etc correctly, but I cannot get the perimeter plus to work. Remote start will not function either. Any ideas on what I’m missing? TIA

The instructions to turn on the VSS are located in the early part of this thread, and there does not require any FORScan changes.

As far as remote start, if you buy the right module, here's the changes - https://www.f150forum.com/f118/offic...2/#post6004871

there is a jumper on the unit.. if you have the jumper installed remove it.. if you don't have the jumper installed then add it.. one of them is for if you already have remote start

forscan isn't needed if you already have remote start.. if you don't u need to use the changes for remote start in the spreadsheet

I finally received the Perimeter Plus module from Tasca. It took over two weeks to get the part. They stayed in regular contact about the part being on back order and offered me a refund if I did not want to wait but I told them I'd stick it out.

It was a plug and play install with no programming required. '18 F150 King Ranch

Is it the same module for a 2-way or 1-way remote? I see on a Ford website, it's more money for the module if you have a 2-way remote.

Kit doesn't come with a remote .. you use your factory remote (lock, unlock, lock) to start or shut off the truck. You can buy 1 way or 2 way remotes as add on's .. i have a 1 way remote that i use with my long distance antenna

I guess I didn't explain what I meant.
I see on a Ford Website that you can buy 2 different modules (a module if you have a 1-way remote, and a more expensive module if you have a 2-way remote).
I'm thinking I have a 2-way remote, since I have a small LED that flashes red if the engine doesn't start, and flashes green if the engine does start.
Both modules have the same part number, but the module for the 2-way remote is $38 extra.
