Default Ford Perimeter Plus...?

Goinng on long road trip soon with numerous nights in hotels and motels with the truck in dark parking lots outside.
Need a good security system for the 2018 XLT, for prevention and for stopping bad guys in the act.

Is this any good?

Ok, found one on Amazon, but not sure if is the same part #: DL32-Z19A361-A.
Will have to dig a but deeper to make sure it is apples to apples.
Also noticed on my window sticker: “Perimeter Alarm”.
(But not “Perimeter Plus”)
Comdusing myself here, need to pull out the Owner’s Manual and see what I got before I do any ordering..

Answering my own question here, this seems to be the part number:

JS7Z-19A361-A

Now on Chat with a Ford Accessory Specialist to figure out what I have based on VIN and what I need..

Nobody gives a crap about car alarms, and that includes thieves, who know that nobody gives a crap about car alarms. Your best bet is to buy a dual channel dash cam that will hopefully at least record the POS and give you a fair shake at catching the POS and possibly getting your stuff back.

Not always true. I park on the street in front of my house. If my horn starts beeping then I give a crap and investigate.. Same if the OP is able to park near his hotel room. It's a deterrent if the shock sensor goes off before he has a chance to get in. Better than nothing.

Here's what you need for the 2018's. I have it in mine and I love it. Had my truck broken in at 1200 miles and found out the standard alarm doesn't go off even after breaking a window. Added this alarm to my 502a and now it goes off with a simple tap on window. I feel better parking around Houston now.

Vehicle Security System, Ford Perimeter Plus - Ford (JS7Z-19A361-A)

$180.95
The same part ordered from Ford is $235.00

BajaMod Alarm Shock Sensor Bracket

$39.99

Here's some pics. The red circle indicates the sensitivity adjustment.
