I have a 3.5EB, 4X2, Lariat, 3.15 and thoroughly enjoy the acceleration and ride. It is more than quick enough for me and I also drove the 3.55 at the dealership. I am very happy with it.

This is why I ultimately went with my 2014 f150 back when I was looking at new chevys and fords. The chevy didn't offer a larger tank, and the f150 302a came with it. Now ford charges 400 more on all trim levels for it and they are hard to find. ford should be including it for those people paying for a loaded xlt, lariate, kr, or platinum like they used to. Here in Colorado I would never buy a truck with a 23 gallon tank, unless that is all you could get. That is only twice the gas that a pruis holds.

Guess what, most people don't have that problem. Maybe they have decided that gas mileage is more important than range or towing ability.

You sound like gas stations are sparse in the areas you travel, so I suspect you live or travel in rural areas.

So tell me, what makes you so special that Ford and Ford dealers should heed your advice?
You sir are a forum member. No wonder you have been thanked so few times with so many posts. Is it too much to ask that you aren't searching for gas stations every 200 miles while towing with a 40-60k vehicle? Pathetic.

Put on your big boy pants, calm down, and order exactly what you need. Now, was that so hard?

Sure, with the 3.73 gears it was rated at the same capacity. I used to tow 6-7k lbs with one pretty regularly and it worked fine.

You act like you have no experience towing anything.
I tow every week. You're acting like gearing is the only thing that affects towing capacity and performance.

Yes, if I want to throw my money away and pay for things I don't want, I could have a Platinum like I said I didn't want. OR I could go to GM and get what I want, for the price I want!! BUT I like Ford, but if I'm forced, I'll jump ship to the competitor that offers what I need.

Or I can get a F250 and pay an extra $100 in gas/month since Ford is making the NEW Aluminum F150 nothing but a boy racer grocery getter, just as Dodge did when they destroyed their Ram 1500 with patheticly low payload that everyone laughs at.
Again, you dismiss it as a grocery getter because you think it doesn't tow as well despite having more power and towing capacity than ever--you just don't like the way they get there or want to pay for it. That's fine, but then I don't know why you're here.

Must be somewhat of a regional thing or vary dealer to dealer, the two dealers I dealt with when purchasing my vehicle seemed to stock >80% F-150s with 36 gal tanks.
