Aluminum doesn't get red rust and road salt won't change that. Might get some white oxidation, but that's it. It should be good to go if galvanic corrosion is not accelerated by contact with dissimilar metals, such as improperly spec'd fasteners.

However, there is still plenty of steel in these trucks, such as the entire frame, fasteners, driveshafts, and rear diff housing. These parts will (and already have) rust just the same as before.

No rust on any of my Alu body panels. Not since 2001 when I bought an F150 with an Alu hood. I live in MI, right in the part where they salt anything that can get snow on it in case it turns to ice. There is salt applied to the roads here at some point 6 months out of the year.

Your Aluminum body panels do not rust. The frame and other components can.

i was wondering that the commercial says all aluminum body that doesn't rust , then i was wondering did they use stainless steel fasteners and washers and what not , but low end stainless will rust too , so u think this aluminum body can take road salt? previous poster is right here in michigan we have at least 6 months of winter for instance we are supposed to get 4 inches of snow on this friday. detroit tigers opener lol

Aluminum can still corrode, ask anyone who works on airplanes (me), motorcycles (me), or boats (me).

I'm not an expert but even though stainless steel is rust resistant, when it's paired in contact with aluminum it causes corrosion. I believe Ford advises to use zinc plated fasteners last time I checked their list of approved fasteners and adhesives.
