Ford dealer cant change programming for tire size increase? That’s what they said...

Default Ford dealer cant change programming for tire size increase? That’s what they said...
Truck is just a few weeks old and I had it in for recall check today and asked if they could change the tire size in the computer and they just said there was no option to change tire size in the computer??? Is that the case? Was under the impression that it could be done mostly from reading on here lol.

Only went up about an inch in tire diameter so not the end of the world but would like to do it if possible.

It can be done, Whether they know how to do it, or don't want to do it, is the question.

Yes, it is on option in IDS, however they are preconfigured sizes so yours may not be listed.

It is no longer a programmable option with ford software. You either have to use forscan or buy a tuner.

Wrong.

IDS hasn't been able to change the tire size from 2015+ on F150s

What other program would the dealer use? They won't use 3rd party software as part of their T&C with Ford.

if your in Houston, TX I can help you out and change the settings through Forscan so long as its already one of the sizes that's been verified.

There are dealerships out there that install lift kits and larger tires on new trucks.

I can't tell you what they use or don't use, but they do it.
