Wow leave it Ford top try and reinvent the wheel... Cold weather testing done inside is so moronic, nothing will ever beat real world outdoors testing period. Toyota does cold weather testing here in Timmins where its actually winter, what a novel idea that is eh!

Congratulations! That is the stupidest post I've read. And if you've looked around here at all, that's saying something.

Good to know they test to make sure my truck starts, and so far it has.. Remotely even,,let it run to warm up the seats and melt the snow off everything for 10 minutes.. Well that was a waste of gas.. Start driving and windshield gets covered with salt spray. Wash windshield and now it a white smear that you can't see through if the sun is shining.

At least so far I have always been able to open the doors, and close them, but then today was the first time I have washed it and it's above freezing right now .

Sorry your truck sucks in the cold man... this is my 3rd 150 and a number of cold Alberta Winters and I haven't had a problem yet.. my truck was a late build and most tsb work was done or doesn't apply it seems... but I don't have all the platinum extras either ...

These threads crack me up. It's always aimed at Ford engineers. Just proves how little 99% of people understand about the automotive industry.

Do some research, find out who supplies the component in question, and cry to them. OEMs are in a position to accept the test results reported to them. Suppliers rule the roost, guys. Vehicle-level testing by OEMs is comparatively limited.
