Default Foldacover G4 - Dents and Dings?

I haven't seen anything recent on the Foldacover, and am strongly considering the G4. I like the strength factor of 450 lbs (evenly distributed), but am concerned about dents and dings from hail, etc. Does anyone have any insight into the anti-dingness (yup...just made up that word) of the G4 by Foldacover?

If not sturdy enough, what about the Extang Encore or BAKFlip F1. Thoughts, comments, feedback, suggestions?

Driven in hail with the Extang Encore, no dents or dings. None on the truck either

I've had to climb over my truck to get something that was blocked by my parking in the garage, and it felt very sturdy with my 225lbs rolling around on it lol

Not sure what Fold-A-cover currently uses for their panels... when we carried them a few years ago panels were painted aluminum and did dent and scratch pretty easy IMO...

Anything with plastic or fiberglass panels should be no issues with denting...

On a side note if you decide to go Extang or BAK send me a PM... we offer some killer pricing to forum members..

Simply put, the G4 is better than any other folding tonneau cover out there. It's more expensive because of this, but you get what you pay for. They also don't give kickbacks to vendors, which is why you rarely see vendors push them ^^^.

My G4 has been hailed on numerous times, no dents or marks on the cover at all. I'm very happy with the Fold-a-Cover.

No issues with my Encore, in fact the only reason I purchased the Encore over the G4 was the resin versus aluminum panels. I take gear out of my truck and place it up on the cover all the time. No issues.

Fold-A-Cover no longer has dealers which is why you don't see dealers push them.

There are plenty of positives about FAC... they are nice covers and we sold a ton of them back in the day...

In my experience they scratched easily back then... maybe not now.

Again, just an opinion..just like the one above... To say that a cover is hands down the best when every user has a different application sounds like maybe you work for FAC...
