I just picked up my first Ford ever (I'm 55) in Salina KS and brought it back to Austin. Only complaints so far are the fog lights: Mine do not come on unless the headlights are on (contrary to what the Owner's Manual says) and they are yellow.

Here in Austin, we don't hardly ever have true fog, so I like to use them as driving lights. I'll look into those you guys got!

Any idea why they don't come on when the button is pressed, (like during slightly dark weather; I like them because they turn on the taillights, too, I hope) as the manual states (and my Denali worked that way too)?

You have to have at least the parking lights on. The fogs should come on in any setting with the ignition on... except when brights are on.

You have to put the headlight switch in the marker/running light position. Then you can have the fogs on independent of the headlights. Unfortunately the marker/running lights must also be on.

Thanks. In my Denali, you push the button and running (parking) and the fog lights would come on and stay on.

If I turn the switch to parking light position, and leave it there, will my headlights still come on at dusk? And go off after the preset delay when parking?

I know you guys are right, but I wonder if I (or we) have a software problem that can be corrected, or is this a misprint, or am I reading it wrong?

I'm at a loss bud mine operate exactly as how your manual states.. I can turn them on ... in every position from the first to the last as you turn the switch clockwise from the off position. ... however the ignition must be on

Yes, they work properly if the headlights are on either from automatic or by turning them on manually. They go off when the high beams are on as they should. They also work properly if I rotate the light **** to any position except off.

Weird.
