Default Flipping the spare tire

Searched but couldn't find the answer.

Has anyone flipped the spare tire to make it easier to check the psi on MY18, I've done it in the past on other trucks, but one never knows if there is something new that prevents one from doing it. Just curious before I go to the effort.

Easy access to the tire stem means the wheel is exposed to the sand storm on any dirt road. Result is a badly marred wheel.

The tire stem being exposed is my concern, granted somewhat protected by the wheel and tire....

i find it best to just carry a small compressor under the seat and if I am lucky I will just put air in the tire on the truck and then get it fixed...and no i don't add the sealant stuff. If the hole in tire is too big 'and' my spare is low I can use the compressor to pump it up.

Fill spare to sidewall pressure every 6 months, using winch ensures it will work when needed.

This is also new to me. It's been 6mos since I brought her home new so I'll be checking the tires and testing the winch this week.

Does the spare rim match the rims on the ground on the XLT/FX4 package. I can tell it's not just a standard steel rim with a donut tire, but I've got 20's as well.

Been driving trucks since 1989.
I have always moved the spare tire from under the truck to the truck bed. ( had a truck cap or tonneau cover )
As my boss found out one morning, when he needed his spare, it was raining out & there was mud & snow on the side of the road where he stopped.
......................Just a thought !!!
