I have no idea what you guys are talking about so i went out to my truck folded up the seat bottom and reached behind the unlatched it. Took all of 5 seconds tops. serious.

that may be the issue because its an easy task with my screw, so easy that there is no reason to even buy the nifty builtright part, but I probably will anyway because its so darn slick

Got my latch in the mail this morning, took me longer to get tools and a droplight than the install.
Quality is there, and works great. Thanks Matt!

I was just about to ask if this can be done on a SCAB too, thanks for the pics. I have a 2017 SCAB as well.

I guess on the '17's, that strap falls off, and can be found inside the seat back. I know mine was, that thing was a total bit%^ to find, my arm and hand are all scrapped up from finding it.
Find a skinny 14 year old that can follow directions, and you might not spend half the afternoon trying to get to it. I even removed the interior corner trim piece trying to get room for my arm to slide up underneath, didn't work.
